Garden Tour
(Coming Summer 2024)
Since 2020 the Wander Wagon has been a proud supporter of the Fairview Road Resilience Garden.
Since the garden’s inception during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the microbus has shuttled thousands of pounds of produce to Bounty & Soul’s charitable distribution center in Black Mountain. This summer, join us for a tour of the Fairview Road Resilience Garden along with three other amazing community gardens in Ashville that are also engaged in community building and fighting hunger across the region. 50% of all ticket proceeds will be reinvested back into the gardens.
The Tour de Appalachia
Coming in 2025, Wander Wagon Tours along with its partners will present The Tour de Appalachia. Best described as an "All inclusive summer camp for adults” the tour will whisk passengers arriving in Ashville off to the high country in Haywood County where they’ll learn and experience the rich culture of Appalachia.
Tour highlights will include:
Bed and breakfast accommodations at the “Urban Oasis ”. A 100 year old Farm House located in the heart of Asheville where the Fairview Road Resilience Garden is located.
Safari style glamping and asado at a working beef cattle farm that dates back to the 1700’s.
Gourmet tapas while floating on the oldest river in the world
Off Road Driving Experience
Foraging 101
Orienteering 101
Intimate fireside Appalachian jam band secession
Rustic (yet modern) accommodations deep in the wilderness where you can almost touch the stars in the Milky Way
One last blast in Asheville for dinner and a show out on the town.
