— Where We’ll Meet

The tour begins and ends at Wedge Brewery (Foundation) located in Asheville’s famed River Arts District, or RAD. Located along the French Broad River, and opposite the Biltmore Estate. This district was once the heart of the region’s industrial scene. Today, sculptors, painters, glass blowers, and craft brewers have breathed new life into the once shuttered warehouses and factories.

The one-hour excursion can best be described as an Asheville orientation tour. If you’re just arriving, this puttering jaunt through town will provide an invaluable lay off the land to be utilized throughout the remainder of your trip.

In addition to the RAD, we’ll explore downtown, Historic Biltmore Village, as well a number of other hidden gems.

— What to Expect

Riders must prepare themselves for the flurry of attention that will be cast in their direction the moment the bus fires up its thundering little micro-engine. As we travel down the streets of Asheville, pedestrians will stop in their tracks to gawk and snap pictures, while motorist will inevitably honk and wave. Children and parents alike will point and stare. Passengers are encouraged to smile and wave back (think pageant queen in Thanksgiving Day Parade). We’ll use this attention to fuel the rest of trip as we groove to the beat in our mobile photobooth.
